Campus Pictet de Rochemont

Ma démarche photographique pour documenter la construction du campus Pictet de Rochemont depuis quatre ans repose sur l'idée de capturer à la fois le gigantisme du chantier et l'intensité du travail minutieux des ouvriers. À travers une série d'images, je cherche à dévoiler l'ampleur de ce projet monumental tout en mettant en lumière les efforts souvent invisibles des hommes et femmes qui participent à sa réalisation. Chaque photo est une tentative de rendre tangible la grandeur du lieu : les structures imposantes, les machines géantes, et l'évolution rapide du site.

Pour mettre en avant le contraste entre la grandeur des équipements et la petite échelle humaine, je joue avec les perspectives et les cadrages serrés. Les ouvriers, parfois isolés au milieu de cette vaste étendue de béton et d'acier, sont souvent photographiés en plein effort, illustrant la précision de leur travail. Les détails de leurs gestes, leurs outils et leur interaction avec l’environnement de construction sont capturés pour rendre hommage à leur savoir-faire et à leur engagement quotidien. Cette démarche photographique vise à documenter la progression du projet, tout en soulignant l'harmonie entre l’humain et le colossal dans un cadre en constante transformation.

My photographic approach to documenting the construction of the campus Pictet de Rochemont over the past four years focuses on capturing both the scale of the site and the meticulous work of the laborers. Through a series of images, I aim to reveal the magnitude of this monumental project while highlighting the often invisible efforts of the men and women involved in its realization. Each photo is an attempt to make the vastness of the place tangible: the imposing structures, the giant machinery, and the rapid evolution of the site.

To emphasize the contrast between the scale of the equipment and the small human figures, I play with perspectives and tight framing. The workers, sometimes isolated in the midst of this vast expanse of concrete and steel, are often photographed in the midst of their work, illustrating the precision of their efforts. The details of their movements, their tools, and their interaction with the construction environment are captured to honor their craftsmanship and daily commitment. This photographic approach aims to document the progress of the project while highlighting the harmony between humanity and the colossal in a constantly changing landscape.
